Curtains and upholstery making service

When you contact me, I will make an appointment and visit you at your home to discuss the project.

I usually advise my client to choose the fabric for curtains last, after having chosen the carpet and furniture. The curtains are the ''dress'' of the room and the you will not change them very often, thus chosing the right fabric is very important.

I have a lot of eperience with decorating rooms and if required I am happy to also advise when chosing carpets, furniture and in arrangeing the room.

For curtains you have the choice of headings. These can be:

• Rod pocket - suitable for curtain poles
• Pencil and deep pencil - suitable for curtain track and poles
• Tab-Headed - suitable for curtain poles
• Double and triple pleats - suitable for curtain track
• Goblet-headed - suitable for curtain track
• Pelmet-headed - suitable for curtain tracks and poles
• Smocked,
• French-pleated
• Gathered

I will show you sketches to help you decide on the most suitable style of heading

The look of the pelmet is also very important and this is the next thing we need to design.

For safety reasons if the curtains are inter-lined and lined, the inter- lining and lining have to be fire-retardant.

If the curtains are neither inter-lined nor lined, the fabric has to be treated for fire resistance.
